Hi, I’m nicole
Grounded in Compassion. Guided by You.
Hello — I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
My name is Nicole, and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #18553) based in Chilliwack, BC. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Athabasca University and have specialized training in trauma-informed approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
But beyond the credentials, what matters most to me is the relationship we build in the therapy room — one based on safety, trust, and genuine connection.
I believe that each person I work with is inherently worthy, capable, and resilient — even if life experiences have made that hard to feel or believe. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or just feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique journey.
My Approach
You won’t find a one-size-fits-all model here.
I integrate both brain-based and body-based (somatic) approaches, because I believe healing needs to happen on more than just a cognitive level. While understanding our thoughts and behaviours is important, it’s only part of the picture. Real, lasting change often begins when we learn to regulate our nervous systems and reconnect with our bodies in safe and supportive ways.
I do not use traditional CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). While it can be a helpful tool, I’ve found that it doesn’t always meet people where they are — especially when trauma is involved. When CBT doesn’t work, it can leave people feeling like they’ve failed or are “too much.” I want you to know: you are not too much. You’re not broken. And you’re not alone.
Many of the people I work with find that talking alone isn’t enough — particularly when it’s hard to put words to what you’re feeling. That’s where more experiential, body-inclusive approaches come in.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals 15+ from all walks of life, including:
Those navigating anxiety, depression, or burnout
People healing from trauma, including complex or intergenerational. I have a particular interest in working with women who have been in a car accident and have experienced previous sexual assault.
Clients who identify as neurodivergent (e.g., ADHD, autism, HSP)
Individuals going through life transitions, grief, or relationship changes
Anyone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — and ready for something different
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve tried many approaches before, I will meet you where you are — with care, curiosity, and zero judgment.
A Few Things to Know About Working With Me
I view therapy as collaborative, not prescriptive. You are the expert on your life — my role is to help you explore it with more clarity, compassion, and choice.
I honour your nervous system. Some days you might be ready to dive deep, and other days, you may just need a space to feel safe and grounded. Both are welcome.
I tailor each session to you — your needs, your brain, your body, your pace.
If You’re Ready, I’m Here
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. It can also be the first step toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you really are.
If you're curious to learn more or explore whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I’d be honoured to walk with you on this part of your journey.
